Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Receipts app (“the App”) published by Yusuf Emirhan (“we”, “us”). By downloading or using the App you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

The App is distributed through the Apple App Store and is also subject to Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement. Where these Terms and Apple’s agreement conflict, Apple’s agreement applies to the extent of the conflict.

1. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on Apple devices that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store usage rules. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, reverse engineer, or create derivative works of the App except where the law expressly permits it.

2. Your content

Receipts, photos, notes, and other content you add to the App belong to you. We claim no rights to it. You are responsible for that content and for keeping your own backups. The App offers export to PDF and Photos and an optional iCloud backup; using them is your choice.

3. Accuracy of recognition

The App uses on-device text recognition and, where available, Apple Intelligence to suggest merchants, dates, amounts, and item names. These suggestions can be wrong. Always review extracted details before relying on them. The App is an organizational tool and is not tax, accounting, legal, or financial advice. You remain responsible for verifying receipts for returns, warranties, expenses, tax filings, or any other purpose.

4. Receipts Cloud subscription

The core App is free. Receipts Cloud is an optional auto-renewable subscription that enables backup of your library to your iCloud Drive and synchronisation across your devices.

• Plans and prices. Monthly ($1.99 USD) and yearly ($14.99 USD). Prices are shown in the App before purchase and may vary by country and currency.
• Billing. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
• Automatic renewal. The subscription renews automatically at the same price and duration unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends.
• Managing and cancelling. You can manage or cancel the subscription at any time in iOS Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions. Deleting the App does not cancel the subscription.
• Refunds. Purchases are made through Apple, and refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
• Free trials and offers. If an introductory offer is presented, any unused portion is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
• What happens when it ends. Your receipts stay on your device. New changes stop syncing to iCloud, and existing iCloud copies remain in your iCloud account until you remove them.

iCloud requires an Apple Account with iCloud Drive enabled, sufficient iCloud storage, and a network connection. iCloud is provided by Apple under its own terms; we do not operate or control it.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the App for any unlawful purpose, to store content you have no right to store, or to interfere with the App’s operation or security.

6. Updates and availability

We may update, change, or discontinue features of the App at any time. The App requires a supported version of iOS; some features (for example Apple Intelligence) depend on device capability and regional availability set by Apple.

7. Intellectual property

The App, including its design, code, and branding, is owned by us and protected by copyright and other laws. “Receipts” is used as the App’s name; Apple, iPhone, iPad, iCloud, and App Store are trademarks of Apple Inc.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of recognized data, or uninterrupted availability. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the App. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App will not exceed the amount you paid us for the App in the twelve months before the claim, or USD 20 if you paid nothing.

10. Termination

These Terms remain in effect until terminated. You may terminate them by deleting the App. We may terminate or suspend your license if you breach these Terms. Sections 2, 3, and 7 through 12 survive termination.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, and any dispute will be brought in the competent courts of Türkiye, unless mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence provides otherwise.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest revision. Continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
